Isabela was born and raised in Panama in a multicultural and bilingual household. She is a student at Tufts University majoring in Economics and Community Health with a passion for working on health issues and their relationship with culture and socioeconomic factors. She has previous experience participating in public health projects with organizations like Plan International, The Panamanian Association for Family Planning, Shape Up Somerville and now SUNKISSED FAMILIES™. At Tufts University Isabela strives to have an active role in her community as co-president of the Tufts Best Buddies Chapter and community outreach coordinator for the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her free time Isabela enjoys reading, dancing, and jumps on any chance to be near the beach.
